End of the first day.
A great days skiing! Sunshine for the whole day but -10 at the top with wind chill (thus the game of 'Guess the child' in the photo below - they are wrapped up against the cold).
Quiz night tonight though and 5 more hours of skiing in the morning.
It's interesting sharing a hotel with two other groups for the first time - our neighbours are fee paying boarding schools and very nice. I could be persuaded to share again.

1st morning skiing with top group
Gorgeous weather and excellent skiing.
The Hotel is basic but 30 secs from the slope. The staff are all UK and fall over themselves to help. Food of a good catering standard.
Still slightly zombied after the journey but smiles all round.

Meeting - 11/2/13

The finishing straight is upon us. This time next week we will all have skied for 2 days! Its snowing as I type in Risoul (see below) so the conditions should be PERFECT!
Several students have already told me they cannot attend the meeting tonight so the agenda is (was)...
The finishing straight is upon us. This time next week we will all have skied for 2 days! Its snowing as I type in Risoul (see below) so the conditions should be PERFECT!
Several students have already told me they cannot attend the meeting tonight so the agenda is (was)...
- Rooming. The big one. Most rooms are 4 bed. Students to pick rooms.
- Photo Check. Several students have not had their photo taken for their ski pass.
- Stay or Go? On Friday students will either be STAYING (bringing their ski gear in and waiting in school for the coach to arrive) or GOING (leaving school at the end of P4 and coming back to catch the coach at 3.45pm to load the coach at 4.00pm). I need to collate a list.
- Evening Entertainment Cost - Only 10 Euros for the whole package! Disco, Karaoke, Luge, Pizza etc etc
- Coach life reminder - How to make 24 hours on the coach a pleasure rather than a pain.
- Leaving - Watch this space - this is the plan but it may have to change!
- We will all congregate in the Theatre Foyer for 3.45 pm please.
- People who are STAYING will leave their bags in the staff room.
- We are hoping to negotiate the coach coming in through South Notts College and parking just outside our temporary gate on their property so we don't have to load on the road.
- PLEASE though, can parents and students carry their gear through the school site from Loughborough Road to congregate in the Foyer. South Notts could justifiably get rather upset if 42 families drive onto their site during their working day.
